This February and March we’re delighted to invite you to our exciting “EUROPE SHARES” events

The “EUROPE SHARES” Project will present the heritage of authentic wines from the ancient Thracian Lowlands PGI in the United Kingdom for 3 years. It started in the summer of 2023 with series of great events dedicated to the Thracian Lowlands PGI – presentations in restaurants for professional by Svet Manolev, the one and only Bulgarian Master Sommelier, events for consumers by Jamie Goode and tastings in London, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh. Each event began with an introduction of the Project, its main objectives, information about EU quality systems PGI and PDO, brief history of the tradition of winemaking in Thracian Lowlands dating back 6,000 years, specialized information about terroir, advantages of the region and concludes with a tasting of wines from Thracian Lowlands PGI.

Wineries’ representatives from the Thracian wine regions participated the Autumn edition of the Specialist Importers Trade Testing (SITT) that took place on 18 September in London and on 20 September in Manchester. Тhe wide range of grape varieties from Thracian Lowlands PGI and PDO regions impressed the visitors in London and Manchester and dozens of commercial contacts were made to develop networking and business opportunities related to further export of European wines from Thracian Lowlands. The event was attended by independent wine merchants, sommeliers, restaurateurs and regional wholesalers.
The festive December started with a spectacular ‘EUROPE SHARES‘ Thracian Wine Festival at Henry VIII’s Palace Garden in London. The English society tasted more than 30 wines, including the unique Bulgarian grape varieties Mavrud, Rubin, Vrachanski Misket, Dimyat, Tamyanka, and enjoyed Thracian folklore performances culminating in a colorful round dance. The three-day festival was attended by over 15,000 people.

In the rest of the first year of “EUROPE SHARES” Project in UK, by the end of March 2024 will be held more than 10 events for consumers in different cities in the United Kingdom, 3 presentations in restaurants for professionals, a stand at the spring edition of the Specialist Importers Trade Testing (SITT) in Manchester and London, and in early March – Business Congress for the heritage of authentic wines from the ancient Thracian Lowlands PGI.
